I qualified in 1987 and after being an associate then started the practice at Farfield House in 1990.
Whilst working as a general Osteopath on everyday conditions like gardening and occupational problems I started Sports Injury interests at Wharfedale Rugby Club, both pitchside care and care of physical injury and concussion, gaining qualifications in Pre Hospital Care in Sport Level 2 and lecturing to other medics on Concussion care. There is now an injury reducing warm up for team sports developed at the club on our website.
In Keighley the practice has strong ties supporting local businesses so companies send their employees to be diagnosed and treated or referred to specialists to quickly resolve pain. I do a lot of Nutritional advice so people aren’t just better physically but if they eat properly they get better quicker too. We have advice, recipes and preparations to aid this on the website and I’m a Metabolic Balance Coach.
Alongside this I also do blood screening and interpretation to allow better and more accurate use of foods and supplements to aid health and recovery, lose weight and wellbeing.
As time has progressed the most recent development has been the Relaxing Spine Tube ( relaxingspinetube.co.uk ) not just for back pain for such as gardening or postural problems from work but also in the management of Asthma, Concussion and Migraine to name a few.
