Migraine – Diet

After a Migraine Increase

  1. Herbal Teas (Camfrey, Chamomile, Peppermint)
  2. Coffee substitutes (Caro, Bamboo)
  3. Fruit Juices (diluted)
  4. Fruit (Apples, Pears, Grapes, Pineapple, Cherries, Strawberries)
  5. Vegetables (Carrots, Cabbage, Spinach, Broccoli, Onions, Garlic, Leeks)
  6. Salad (Carrots, Celery, Onion, Beetroot, Cucumber, Tomato, Lettuce)

AVOID

  1. Tea, Coffee, Alcohol (Wine)
  2. Orange Juice
  3. Peanuts
  4. Red Meat
  5. Cheese And Dairy Products
  6. Chocolate
  7. Citrus Fruits (Oranges, Tangerines, Avocados, Plums, Bananas)
  8. Salt, Sugar, Spices and products containing them.
  9. Tinned / packet foods /prepared foods
  10. Dairy products: Hard, Cheese, Yoghurt, Butter, Oils, Cream.
  11. Fried Foods
  12. White Foods: Flour, Bread, Pasta, Rice.
  13. Cordials, Carbonated Drinks.

During a Migraine

Drink diluted fruit juice with hot or cold water: (Apple, Grapefruit, Lemon Juice) and only eat fruit or vegetables or salads.

One Per Day

Freshly made soups

Brown Bread

Dairy (Margarine, Cottage Cheese, Live Yoghurt)

White Meat

Fish

Nuts

Brown Rice

Lentils, Pulses

Eggs

Sprouted Seeds.
